Sakkara's Outer Wall in Stone - 3,000 BC

Dispite the lapse of nearly 5000 years, a considerable portion of the high and massive wall that enclosed the sacred buildings of Sakkara still survives, to tell us of the constructive skill of the ancient builders. Some forty feet in height, the wall was nearly a mile square.
