Workshop of the Communal Craftsmen - Skara Brae

Opening on to a stone-paved, enclosed space just outside the group of dwellings at Skara Brae is another chamber which, judging from the remains of tools and weapons and pottery fragments that have been recovered from its floor, was the workshop of the communal craftsman - the Stone Age equivalant of the village blacksmith of the later day.
