TULA, MEXICOTemple platform at Tula, Mexico. Tula is thought to be the archaeological site identified with Quetzalcoatl and the Toltec civilization of ancient Mexico linked through legend with the mythical lost land of Aztlan or Tlapallan in the Eastern (Atlantic) Ocean. Of special interest are Atlantean columns which supported a now vanished roof reminiscent of construction techniques of the ancient Mediterranean.
