The Sink Hole is an interesting feature of the Southern Basin chatting to the local elders revealed that the water disappeared down here we have been told that the local Lebanese Red Cross did send a small team to explore the underground area and deposit some red die into the water flow that they found. The result of this was that the dye appeared some three miles away in the Hasbani River.

Looking at the features of this Sink Hole it measures roughly 10-12 feet across, there is what appears to be a semi-circle cut in the rock structure above the sink hole which may have been used for some sort of level to control the water flow in the area.
